Why should you never use the cheapo battery terminal clamps that use bolts to connect to the wires?
You know, the cheapo kind where you cut the battery cable, strip the plastic covering and connect the cable to the terminal with a two bolt clamp. These supposedly always cause problems that a crimped connection will not. Why?
I have the *cheapo* type on a 1974 datsun and it has been that way since *74. I have had replaced the battery a few times.
The only thing i recommend is make sure when using this type of battery terminal is clamp the cable correctly.
