How to connect a digital vernier caliper to a Pc's serial port?
Hi all,
I just want to connect a digital vernier caliper to a pc ,thro' serial port and transfer the data readings to system.Any help is appreciated.
WOW Serial port.
First, make sure that the thing is enabled in the BIOS and then get the manual.
Not sure about this particular device, but most serial devices have some sort of settings for Baud rate, Stop Bits, XOR, etc. that need to be set for communication to work. Standard is 9600-8-1-None, I think. Data bits, stop bits, etc need to be set, or you won't get anything on the PC.
