How do you go about becoming a tow truck driver?
I am 26 and reside in Florida and North Carolina. I have had no accidents in the past 6 years and no tickets. I have no experience that even relates to driving commercially, but have always thought of being a tow truck driver. Any experience/stories of what its like to be a tow truck driver? Any advice on how one would go about training/schooling for this? Is this a satisfying job (pay, benefits, good work environment)? Anything you have to share is appreciated. Thanks! 
towing for hire is not a easy job CDL required for some size rigs. I did it part time for two years drove a 1 ton a10 ton and a 50 ton rig was not fun especially the repossessions. The hours were bad mostly from midnight to 6am as far as benefits there were non as I was a independent contractor so had to pay my own taxes and all of my own insurance (health) if you are interested in the tow tuck operations you need to first have some knowledge of auto mechanics be willing to get dirty and work hard here is a site for the tow truck cert you can look over
